From October 27 to 29, Tashkent will host the international exhibition "Mining, Metallurgy, and Metal Industry - MiningMetals Uzbekistan 2026"

More than 150 exhibitors from 16 countries are expected to participate in the exhibition.
Within the framework of the event, the "8th Uzbekistan International Mining and Metallurgical Forum - UIMF 2026" will be held under the motto "From Resources to Global Opportunities."

The expediency of a phased transition from trade to the joint creation of full value chains was noted;

Emphasis was placed on the need to ensure the full functioning of the free trade zone without restrictions;

The importance of eliminating technical barriers, ensuring mutual recognition of certificates of conformity, and expanding access to public procurement was emphasized;

Hope was expressed for the early coordination and approval of the Agreement on expanding mutual market opening in the field of public procurement of agricultural products, as well as the Program of Cooperation in the field of food security;

It was proposed to introduce a mechanism of mutual notification and consultation before introducing restrictions on the export of food and fertilizers;

The expediency of creating integrated logistics centers, significantly reducing transit costs, unifying freight transportation rules, and forming a unified transport information system in the CIS was noted;

The initiative of the Turkmen side to declare 2029 the Year of Transport Connectivity of the Commonwealth was supported;

The need for a long-term forecast for the development of the region's energy connectivity in the coming decades was noted;

The need for the accelerated introduction of low-carbon technologies and the development of closed-loop production was emphasized. To unite efforts, it was proposed to develop a concept for cooperation in the field of resource efficiency and the circular economy of the CIS;

It was noted that there are good opportunities for the further development of cultural and humanitarian ties by expanding the format of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation;

It was proposed to organize a forum "Cultural Policy and Creative Industries";

In the field of combating cybercrime, it was proposed to instruct the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs to develop a set of measures to create a Joint CIS Contact Center.

On October 7, 2026, a delegation from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Chairperson Makhmudova Robahon Anvarovna, visited the CIS Economic Court for an introductory visit.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan familiarized himself with the main areas of activity of the CIS Economic Court, the procedure for the Court's work in a new format, and the specifics of its functioning at the current stage. During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in deepening integration processes within the CIS and utilizing the integration potential of the CIS Economic Court as an international justice body and a center for judicial-legal cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as the prospects for the Republic of Uzbekistan's participation in the activities of the CIS Economic Court.

Three international textile exhibitions will be held in Uzbekistan in October

From October 12 to 14, three large-scale international exhibitions will be held in Tashkent: Heimtextil Uzbekistan 2026, Texworld Tashkent 2026, and Apparel Sourcing Tashkent 2026.
The prestigious exhibitions will be held at the "Uzexpocentre" National Exhibition Complex in the capital of Uzbekistan. The exhibitions will cover the entire value chain. Thus, Heimtextil Uzbekistan will focus on the segment of home and interior textiles. The Texworld platform will feature fabrics, knitwear, cotton, silk, and accessories. Apparel Sourcing Tashkent will be fully focused on ready-made clothing, the development of contract production, and the production of products under private brands.
