The President of Uzbekistan held a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan

On December 29, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Topical issues of further deepening the Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, trust, good neighborliness and strategic partnership were considered.

Particular attention is paid to the practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level reached during the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan
to Uzbekistan on July 14-15 and the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan on October 20-21 this year, as well as meetings held at the sites of multilateral organizations.

With great satisfaction, a significant intensification of interaction in all priority areas was noted. Trade volumes are growing, joint projects of cooperation in the field of industry and energy are being implemented, fruitful interregional contacts are being developed, programs are being implemented within the framework of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

It was emphasized that the inter-parliamentary dialogue has reached a new level, including in the Central Asian region.

At the end of the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan exchanged heartfelt congratulations on the coming New Year, wishing well-being, peace and prosperity to the two fraternal peoples.
