The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the development of practical cooperation

On January 4, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The issues of further deepening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership were considered.
The dynamics of the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation was noted with satisfaction, including the growth of mutual trade turnover, an increase in the number of joint ventures and cooperation projects with the participation of leading companies of Uzbekistan and Russia.
The importance of continuing intensive contacts between the regions of the two countries, effective use of the opportunities of the sites of the international exhibition "Innoprom" held annually in Tashkent was emphasized. Central Asia", as well as the Uzbek-Russian Forum of Regions.
Particular attention was paid to the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
