MINSK, January 15. /“Doone" NA/. Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Minsk met with the rector of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) Sergey Kharitonchik to discuss issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of education, the correspondent of the Dunyo news agency reports.
In the current academic year, about 700 Uzbek students are studying at BNTU, preparing to become technical specialists in various industries of our country. In addition, more than 50 books and other printed materials related to the history and heritage of the Uzbek people were solemnly handed over to the Center of Uzbek Culture and Education opened at the university in December last year.
The diplomats also met with students from Uzbekistan studying at BMTU at a round table, discussing the main provisions of the address of the President of our country to the parliament and the people, achievements and priorities for the further development of the republic. Issues of concern to students were also discussed.
