A delegation of the National Association of Power Engineers of Uzbekistan paid a working visit to Belarus

During the visit, meetings and negotiations were held at the Resource Center of the "VOLMA" Eco-Technopark, the Republican Institute for Vocational Education, the Energy Efficiency Department of the State Standardization Committee, "Power Green Limited", the international IT company "Soft Club", and other organizations.
The Uzbek delegation familiarized itself with the activities of these institutions and the Belarusian experience in utilizing solar and wind energy systems, advanced renewable energy infrastructure, national programs on energy efficiency, the implementation of energy service contracts, as well as standardization and certification practices
As part of the visit, short-term training courses were organized for 19 Uzbek representatives to enhance competencies in energy efficiency, energy saving, renewable energy, and smart home technologies.
Special attention during the talks was given to issues of ensuring sustainability and energy efficiency in municipal infrastructure. Key challenges related to water purification, water supply, electricity and gas supply, heating, as well as the functioning of sewerage and central heating systems were discussed. The issue of pipeline corrosion was also addressed.
It was noted that cooperation between the two countries in this field could promote the exchange of advanced technologies and best practices, as well as the strengthening of local professional capacities.
The meetings also addressed the prospects of implementing pilot projects in Uzbekistan and launching educational initiatives in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and agriculture.
Following the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between NAEU, the "VOLMA" Eco-Technopark, and the Republican Institute for Vocational Education. An agreement was also reached with the Republican Institute to develop a joint roadmap for 2025–2030 and to sign an additional memorandum of cooperation.
During a visit to a solar power plant in the city of Bragin, the delegation studied the technical features of the facility’s operations, energy storage solutions, and approaches to environmental monitoring. The experience of constructing and operating solar plants according to European standards was explored.
The parties discussed cooperation prospects in the field of green energy, including the potential adaptation of Belarusian experience to implement similar projects in Uzbekistan.
Cooperation prospects were also discussed with the companies "PV CONSULT LTD." and "Soft Club" in the framework of the digital transformation of Uzbekistan’s energy sector. As a result of the meetings, the parties outlined an action plan to launch pilot projects in the construction and energy sectors, and to use ICO-product solutions to attract both private and public financial instruments into the energy sector, including micro-investments.
