Uzbekistan is strengthening its position as a safe and open tourist destination

According to the results of 2025, Uzbekistan is demonstrating confident and dynamic growth in the tourism industry. Nearly 12 million foreign tourists visited the country, a 16% increase compared to the previous year.
Tourism service exports exceeded US$4.8 billion, confirming the growing international interest in Uzbekistan and its strengthening position as one of the region's most promising tourism destinations.
These results were made possible through consistent reforms in the tourism sector aimed at improving infrastructure, developing transport accessibility, digitalizing services, and creating favorable conditions for travelers. Projects are being actively implemented in the country to develop tourism clusters, improve service quality, and expand international cooperation.
In the Republic, a simplified entry procedure for foreign citizens has been introduced, specifically, currently, visa-free entry for citizens of 94 foreign states, electronic entry visas for 52 countries, and five-day transit visa-free entry for 45 countries have been established.
Against the backdrop of the current geopolitical instability in a number of regions of the world, including the holding of mass actions and demonstrations in individual countries, the factor of safety and the comfortable stay of tourists is becoming increasingly important.
In this context, Uzbekistan retains the status of a stable, secure, and hospitable state, open to all guests, regardless of their nationality or religion. The traditions of respect, tolerance, and sincere hospitality are an integral part of the Uzbek people's culture.
International rankings confirm the high level of security in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan has consistently held leading positions in global security indices over the past years. In particular, according to the "International SOS Risk Map", the country is classified as a Low-Risk area, placing it on par with several European countries in terms of overall security.
According to the "Numbeo Safety Index," Uzbekistan ranks 25th among 148 countries worldwide, demonstrating a consistently low crime rate. In addition, in the "Solo Female Travel Safety Index" and "Safety Perceptions Index" rankings, Uzbekistan took 1st place in the world, receiving one of the highest safety indicators for women's independent travel. In addition, according to the "Gallup Global Law and Order Index," the country was also among the world leaders in terms of the level of public safety and trust in law and order. Together, these assessments shape Uzbekistan's sustainable international image as a safe, stable, and comfortable destination for tourists.
