The heads of the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Belarus met in Khiva

A meeting was held in Khiva between the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbaeva, and the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Natalya Kochanova. It was emphasized that thanks to the political will of the heads of state, bilateral relations have risen to the level of strategic partnership, and priority tasks have been defined to protect the sovereignty of countries, preserve traditional values, and strengthen the national economy. During the talks, issues of increasing trade turnover, expanding industrial cooperation and interregional ties were considered, and an agreement was reached to ensure full parliamentary control over the implementation of all agreements reached at the highest level.
