On October 2, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark, Lars Lökke Rasmussen, who arrived in our country on an official visit.

Practical aspects of expanding Uzbek-Danish relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres were considered.

In recent years, the volume of mutual trade has increased nearly fivefold. With the participation of leading Danish companies, joint projects are being implemented in Uzbekistan in the mining, chemical, and food industries, agriculture, water supply, and other sectors.
The importance of further increasing the volume of mutual trade, attracting Danish investments, advanced technologies and know-how in energy, pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics, the agro-industrial complex and other promising areas was emphasized.
Significant potential for developing ties in education, culture, and tourism was noted. Views were also exchanged on the current issues of the international and regional agenda.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further strengthening the institutional and legal framework for the systemic expansion of cooperation.
