The Head of the state drew attention to the changing global labor market. Today, 168 million people worldwide are in foreign migration. There are also citizens in our country who want to work abroad, while the demand for labor is high in other countries. It was noted that connecting these two opportunities is the main task facing industry officials and regional leaders.
In recent years, attitudes toward organized labor migration have fundamentally changed. Previously, work in this direction was carried out with 3 countries, and now their number has reached 27. The number of major foreign employers with whom we cooperate has increased by almost 400.
Although the number of our compatriots working abroad has halved over the past ten years, the funds they send to their families have quadrupled. This, as the President noted, shows that the attitude towards Uzbek specialists in the international labor market is changing, and our people are going abroad not as ordinary workers, but as qualified personnel.
