As part of his trip to the Bukhara region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on the development of the region's economy and improving the population's standard of living

- We have come with new initiatives worth $30 billion that will bring positive changes to the economy of Bukhara and the daily lives of the people,
-said the head of our state.

First, the issue of drinking water supply and sewerage networks was discussed. A project worth $385 million is being implemented in this area with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. Another $248 million will be attracted for the second stage.

As a result, water supply will be improved for 1.7 million people in all districts and cities of the region, and 775,000 people will be connected to the sewerage network. The coverage of centralized drinking water supply will be increased from the current 80 to 95 percent.

The President noted that people are waiting for these changes and instructed the responsible officials to accelerate the implementation of projects.
