A round table dedicated to the birthday of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was held at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics

A round table was held at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) on the occasion of the 582th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi and the 540th anniversary of the birth of statesman, King and poet Zahiriddin Mohammad Babur.
The event was attended by representatives of the International Association of graduates of higher educational institutions, students studying in BSUIR.
Oksana Churbanova, deputy head of the BSUIR campus, noted in her speech that the Uzbek people have a centuries-old rich history, traditions and culture, noting that the legacy of our great ancestors Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, who made a huge contribution to the development of world science, is still relevant today. She noted that in their works they widely promoted the welfare of the people, peace, education, attention to the study of science and other human qualities.
The speakers spoke about the multifaceted work and life of our prominent ancestors, whoh left an indelible mark on the history of the mankind, about the invaluable works that they wrote down, brought stage performances and artistic performances to the attention of the participants of the round table.
At the event, it was emphasized that the President of Uzbekistan pays great attention to Uzbek language, further increasing the prestige of our language in the international arena, as well as large-scale reforms carried out at the national level. At the event the five-volume "Explanatory Dictionary of the Uzbek language" published by the specialists of the Uzbek Language Literature and Folklore Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan was presented to the participants.
