A meeting of the CIS Economic Council and the first Forum of Regions of the CIS member states are planned to be held in Tashkent.

On April 1, 2025, a delegation of the CIS Executive Committee headed by Deputy Secretary General of the CIS Nematov I.T. in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, held a working meeting with Acting Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gulamov Sh.Kh.

The meeting participants discussed the preparations for the next meeting of the CIS Economic Council and the first Forum of Regions of the CIS member States, which are scheduled to be held on April 29, 2025 in Tashkent.

The Forum of Regions is the first multilateral event to provide the regions of the CIS member states with a platform for discussing topical issues of economic, social, and humanitarian cooperation.
