A festival of the Uzbek language and spiritual heritage was held in Minsk

MINSK, October 27. /"Dunyo" IA/. A festivity dedicated to Uzbek Language Day was organized at the Center for Uzbek Culture under the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, reports a "Dunyo" IA correspondent.
The event was attended by university leadership, department heads and students, Uzbekistan's tourism brand ambassador Vasilina Mitskevich, representatives of the Belarusian Writers' Union, local cultural and public organizations, as well as compatriots living and studying in this country.
Within the framework of the event, information was presented on the life and work of outstanding representatives of Uzbek literature. Uzbek Language Day has once again emphasized the importance of preserving and developing the mother tongue as an integral part of Uzbek culture and spiritual heritage.
The representative of the Belarusian Writers' Union in her speech noted with satisfaction that the cooperation between literary scholars of the two countries is developing successfully, contributing to the rapprochement of peoples, strengthening friendship and mutual respect, as well as playing a great role in preserving the rich historical and cultural heritage and national traditions.
Vasilina Mitskevich, the great-granddaughter of the famous Belarusian writer Yakub Kolas, emphasized that cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus is developing successfully, and such educational events contribute significantly to strengthening friendship and mutually beneficial relations between peoples.
During the cultural part of the event, the guests were introduced to Uzbek traditions, national music, and dances.
