Uzbekistan - Belarus Interparliamentary Forum kicks off in Khiva

On September 29, the fourth Uzbek-Belarusian inter-parliamentary forum on the topic "Strategic partnership: development of inter-parliamentary dialogue, new tasks and prospects for cooperation" began in Khiva.
Within the framework of the event, which will take place on September 29-30, a meeting of the inter-parliamentary commission, meetings of local representative bodies and youth parliaments, and the fourth business forum of women entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus will be organized.
The main directions and topics of discussion of the forum:
- Inter-parliamentary cooperation: At the plenary session with the participation of the heads of the chambers of the parliaments of the two countries, representatives of governments and ministries, issues of employment, poverty reduction, higher education, science, innovation, social protection, maternal and child health, and entrepreneurship are being considered.
- Business Forum (women's entrepreneurship): At four sectoral meetings, joint projects in industrial cooperation, joint investments, labor potential, agro-industrial and food security, biotechnology, the humanitarian sphere, and tourism are being discussed.
An exhibition of national products of the two countries under the brands "Made in Uzbekistan" and "Made in Belarus" has been organized.
